CSA stands for Consumer Supported Agriculture, a system in which the consumer buys shares of a farm’s production at the beginning of the year, then, on a regularly scheduled basis, the farm delivers their produce to a pre-arranged drop off spot in the consumer’s neighborhood. This system supports the farmer by pre-paying for a season’s growth, and supplies the consumer with deliveries of fresh seasonal produce directly from the farm.
