Information, listings and maps for all New York City Farmers’ Markets, Food Stands and Fresh Food Boxes. (All farmers’ markets, known as “Greenmarkets” in New York City, are run by GrowNYC. GrowNYC also runs the City’s Food Stands and Fresh Food Box programs.)

Information and listings for the CSAs that serve New York City. CSA stands for Consumer Supported Agriculture, a system in which the consumer buys shares of a farm’s production at the beginning of the year, then, on a regularly scheduled basis, the farm delivers their produce to a pre-arranged drop off spot in the consumer’s neighborhood. This system supports the farmer by pre-paying for a season’s growth, and supplies the consumer with deliveries of fresh seasonal produce directly from the farm.

What is the NYS Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act?
On July 19, 2019, former Governor Cuomo signed the Farm Workers Bill, which establishes the Farm Laborers Fair Labor Practices Act to protect farm worker rights and ensure equitable housing and working conditions. The bill grants farm workers overtime pay, a day of rest each week, disability and Paid Family Leave coverage, unemployment benefits and other labor protections. The bill took effect on January 1, 2020.
